It’s time to figure out your Survivor picks for the 2024 season. We’ll break down safe, value, and trap picks heading into Week 7.

The NFL is a third of the way complete and things finally settled down for favorites. Week 6 saw favorites dominate and that also meant that Survivor pools got a brief reprieve from five straight weeks of chaos.

All the popular picks hit last week, and that meant I managed to survive with my suggestions in last week’s Survivor advice column. My safe and value picks all hit, and my trap pick ended up not being a trap, with the Falcons pulling away from the Panthers in the second half.

I survived last week with the the Texans and Packers in my two remaining pools. And now, I’m back with more picks for Week 6. There are plenty of options to consider and every week this season we’ll be breaking down the safest picks, the best value picks, and the potential trap picks.

Safest picks

Bills over Titans
Commanders over Panthers

I never expected Washington to be included in my safe category, but here we are. They face a Carolina squad that is up and down with Andy Dalton at quarterback, but Jaylen Daniels and the Commanders are impressive. Even in a loss at Baltimore, they put up a strong fight.

Best value picks

Rams over Raiders
Jaguars over Patriots

LA could find some value later this season as they get healthier, but until we know for sure, there’s nothing wrong with using them now. The Jaguars over the Patriots isn’t exactly an awe-inspiring pick, but with Jacksonville at home for a week now and having film on Drake Maye available, I like their chances.

Trap picks

Broncos over Saints

Two weeks ago, the Saints were projected as nearly a five-point favorite over the Broncos. Now, numerous injuries have left New Orleans short several bodies and Denver is now a 2.5-point road favorite. I suspect we see some folks try and sneak in the Broncos this week, but I say save them for next week at home against Carolina.
